Here’s How To Style Your Space Like the Homes from Big Little Lies

The Big Little Lies season two premiere is almost here (June 9th) and we are dying to know what’s happened to the five mothers of Monterey.
If you watched the first season then you’ll remember just how gorgeous the women’s seaside homes were. The juxtaposition between their sparkling immaculate interiors and the unkempt, secret-ridden relationships that lived within those walls drew us in week over week.
We couldn’t wait to reimagine some of our favorite homes from the show in a slightly more attainable way. And with Game of Thrones over and out, we can now focus all of our energy Sunday evenings to the dramatic lives of Celeste, Renatta, Madeline, Bonnie and Jane.
Keep scrolling to see how Celeste, Renatta, Madeline, Bonnie might decorate their homes today.
Celeste
Eclectic Minimalism with a Coastal vibe – the inspiration for this home pays homage to both Celeste’s character traits and her seaside abode. On the surface, this space appears warm and inviting, but elements of austerity and control lie underneath.

Shop Her LookTo achieve this look, start with a coastal blue paint palette. Mix in organic materials such as light wood tones to warm up the “coolness” and keep things inviting. Be selective in your pieces and look for neutral-colored furniture with clean and simple lines.
Madeline
Family friendly and sophisticatedly coastal, Madeline lives right on the beach. We wanted to bring that to life through the design of her living room. Just like the set, her bedroom design is more dramatic with glam elements.
Bring Madeline’s Style to Your Home
Shop Her LookFor those who identify with Madeline’s style, look for comfortable base furniture such as slip-covered sofas, club chairs, and upholstered beds. Then layer in the coastal elements such as printed blues, beach wall art, and collected vases for different textures and hues of blue.
For a dramatic bedroom layer velvet textures, mix in metals, and add a feminine twist to the space by using glass furniture pieces such as side tables and accent decor.
Renata
Extreme minimalism with a chic touch, Renatta’s home is a contemporary minimal structure, and we think her furniture choices would mirror that style. Each piece chosen for the space is a work of art. Her style is basically a carefully curated collection that exudes wealth and style (she has to keep up appearances!).

Shop Her LookLove this style? Stark white walls or cool hues make the perfect backdrop for some serious statement pieces! Look for pieces that have an overall minimal style with an artistic and interesting form and shape. Be very selective and only incorporate pieces that are beautiful statements of your style.
Bonnie
Eclectic to the max, Bonnie’s spiritual side and connection to nature set the tone for her bohemian bungalow. We were inspired to create a space where Bonnie could retreat and recharge after stressful events. Our goal was to make sure the space felt open and airy, which is key for Bonnie who practices yoga and meditation on the regular.
