What They’re Known For

Crib safety has always been the driving force behind Milk Street Baby furniture. Their mission is to create beautiful nursery furniture that doesn’t sacrifice safety for design. That’s one of the big reasons Milk Street Baby is one of our favorite nursery furniture brands—because we believe in their high standards around build and quality. Their products not only stand the test of time, but they are safe for even the smallest members of the family. Handcrafted by artisans, each beautiful crib is smartly designed to grow with your baby and surpasses even California’s high safety standards.

Why We Love Them

Milk Street Baby furniture is all engineered in the US and is built and finished by hand. And, since safety is a top priority for this brand, they take care with the chemicals they use as finishing agents on their products. As a result, all Milk Street Baby products…

  • Are handcrafted by artisans out of certified grade A, and Phase 2 Carb Compliant solid wood.
  • Feature a 20-step hand-painted finish where every layer is tested. Only aromatic-free coating is used, surpassing USA environmental requirements.
  • Are Greenguard Gold Certified with low volatile organic compounds (VOC), keeping indoor air safe for your baby.

We also love that Milk Street’s baby room furniture collections minimize waste by growing with your child through add-on conversion kits! These pieces of furniture are crafted to last a lifetime!

Cameo Oval Convertible Crib (Steam)

The piece that put Milk Street Baby on the map, the Cameo crib features an incredible oval spindle window design with French feet and beveled caps. It has a refined and elegant look that feels timelessly charming. This crib will work with a variety of rustic styles, as well as most classic and transitional spaces. We love accenting the decorative window design of the crib with other geometric patterns—such as we did here, with this rug!

True Traditional Crib (Mud/Snow)

And we can’t get enough of the True Traditional Crib, with its contemporary vibe and contrasting spruce wood. And we also love the contrast of the thick, angular frame against the simple spindles. Transitional and contemporary in style, pieces in the True collection are very versatile and create a clean, sleek look. And, the one crib in Milk Street’s catalog without a high back, it allows for more versatility in your nursery layout.

When it comes to nursery color schemes that coordinate with this collection, we like the idea of using earthy accents and colors to pull out that “organic” vibe of the wood. Here, we used an earth-tone color palette with natural materials to accent the wood of the crib and dresser. We also added a few Mid-Century accents to give the space a more modern vibe!
