A Sweet & Serene Nursery: One Look, Two Budgets

Now that the hard baby-making work is over, it’s time to design your new nursery. Congratulations! As the room where your little one and you will spend lots of time learning and snuggling and playing together, it is important that this be a space you enjoy spending time in. To help, we’ve designed two sweet and serene nursery spaces with two different budgets.

For our nursery, we opted for light and fresh colors to keep the space feeling open and airy. Both designs playfully feature stars, moons, and animals for a slightly whimsical look. We opted to keep the spaces gender neutral. This not only frees us from coloring inside the pink and blue lines, but also allows you to reuse the pieces and the space should another stork arrive bearing a new bundle of joy!

The two nurseries tally up at two different price-points: $3,000 and $6,000. However, we designed the entire collection with the idea in mind that they would be 100% compatible, allowing you to cherry pick from each, or size up or down depending on what elements are most important to you. One of our favorite pieces of design advice is to splurge on something that you really love and save on things that you won’t get as much use or enjoyment out of. So, if you can’t live without that adorable lamp, consider scaling back on the rug!

These nurseries are also full of multi-purpose pieces. We love getting extra use out of our purchases, so we opted for pieces that can still be used in your child’s room as she or he grows. We love cribs that convert into toddler beds and accessories that are not so babyish that they can’t be used elsewhere in your home.
